I had the hot brown the first time I went and it's the best I've ever had. It was hard not to order it again but I when with the hamburger and it was crazy good. So now I'm going to keep trying different things and see if they stay consistently good. I have a strong feeling that will be the case. Love this place!!!

Food is delicious! Great portion sizes! Best pastrami and coleslaw I've ever eaten! My husband got the burger and it was amazing! We will be back!

My Mom and I had lunch here after a recommendation from a friend. We were not disappointed. We each had a bowl of the soup of the day - which happened to be cream of mushroom soup (one of my favorites) - it was delicious! We split the Ruben sandwich and it was very tasty as well. Our service was friendly and attentive - it's so refreshing to have great service to go along with great food.

Nichole is one of the sweetest, kindest servers ever! We wanted to share a sandwich and sides, so she asked the kitchen to evenly split everything on different plates for us. The Papa Joe sandwich was so tasty, and it's the best German potato salad I've had in a long time. Both the pickles and coleslaw had a great bite to cut though the rich sandwich. It's a hidden gem in Louisville. No frills, just great food served by great people!

I feel a bad for this place, it is absolutely eclipsed by the BBQ place next door, and the parking lot in front doesnt help if there are giant pickup trucks hiding it as well. Anyway we finally found it and had the place almost to ourselves. Its small with a few tables and a smaller room off to the side which looks like it would be good for a small party. Service was... a little over the top for such a casual place, our server came by to "check on us" no less than EIGHT times. She was very nice but come on! Anyway we ordered the buffalo chicken ravioli (OK, the dough was very dry and cakey but the filling was very nice). The chili, which is the star of the show, I have never had good chili at any restaurant before and this was such a delight. And the spicy grilled chicken sandwich with german potato salad. The potato salad was supposed to be a side but it came in one of those little sauce ramekins? So it was like 2 tablespoons worth? Anyway I didn't care for it, it was too sweet so I didn't mind wasting what little there was. The sandwich was good, but very messy, it was a challenge trying to keep it from falling apart. Definitely come here for the chili, maybe get take out if you dont want to chat it up with your server.

We tried Kayrouz for the first time today. We made the mistake of going during the lunch time. This was a bad time as we had to park way down the street as there is limited parking. If you want to eat here go before 12 or 1:30 or after. There are only two servers so it takes a while to get an order in. They have a Fish special only on Friday so my wife ordered that. I ordered the Papa Joe Sandwich. Once we ordered our food came out quickly and was fresh, hot and delicious. My sandwich was thick with pastrami and corned beef that they smoke in the back. The smoked flavor was amazing. It came with a cup of sliced garlic dill pickles and I ordered German Potato Salad for my accompanying side. It was just ok. My wife's fish was an enormous piece of lightly breaded Scrod surrounded by French fries. She had to get a to go box so she can finish later.

The food was amazing! My partner had the Papa Joe sandwich with American Potato Salad & loved both of them! I had the Classic Club on Rye with Pasta Salad. I thought it was the best Club I've even had plus I couldn't even eat it all. I loved all of the flavors in the Pasta Salad, including the black olives. Great touch! We had to take dessert to go & both got the Chocolate Chip Delight & it WAS delightful! Can't wait to come back & to some other dishes. Loved the quaintness of the deli & friendless of everyone who worked there also! See you soon!

We ate at Kayrouz Delicatessen tonight. There was a sandwich named after the name I called my Grandpa, so the "Papa Joe" was an obvious choice for me. The Papa Joe was piled high pastrami, corned beef, Swiss, dill pickle, sauerkraut, with whole grain mustard. It was served with a side and pickles. I chose pasta salad. I was super impressed with the flavor and thrilled to find another deli that cooked their meats in-house. It makes all the difference. The price point was phenomenal for the quality. The pasta salad was delicious. The interior was charming and eclectic. The doorframes were rustic, the ceiling had an industrial feel. The service was warm and friendly. I can't believe it's taken this long for this place to hit my radar. My husband had a French Dip. The au jus was incredible and not overly salty. This place is worth checking out.

Nice deli but the price vs food could have been a bit better. There was only one waitress but luckily it was pretty calm when we went in. Waitress was great and made sure we were taken care of. Food was good albeit a bit pricey for a deli. Overall, I'm glad I gave it a try.
